I am read Peter FitzSimons book called Fromelles & Pozieres: In the trenches of Hell.
I wanted to read it as my grandfather fought in this battle in WW1 & I visited there in 2013. I usually love the way Fitzie brings history to life. I have read many of his books & loved them. Eureka gives a great insight into the Australian goldfields & our movement to universal suffrage & a democratic civil society. Fromelles I find very hard going as it spends so much time in the minutiae of the battles. I feel it gets bogged down.
My message....don't read it but do pick up his other books as they are very readable.
